100% of the Eva copper project, an iron oxide-copper gold resource, together with 16 exploration tenements, was acquired in December 2022. Following the completion of the feasibility study, a board decision was made in November 2025 to proceed with construction.
The project is poised to become the largest copper mine in northwest Queensland, Australia, and extends Harmony’s diversification into copper, a future-facing metal critical to the energy transition. First production is expected in the second half of 2028.

Public notification
Harmony (Eva Copper Mine Pty Ltd) has lodged an application for a major amendment to an Environmental Authority in accordance with requirements of the Queensland Environmental Protection Act 1994. The Environmental Authority being amended is EMPL00899613.
The amendment application is open for public comment from Thursday 5 February 2026 to Friday 6 March 2026 (inclusive – Queensland time). During this period, any person may make a submission about the application.
