Tshepong North is a mature deep-level operation that was commissioned in 1991. The mine is divided into two mining areas – the upper mine and the lower mine, which is serviced by a decline system. It exploits the Basal Reef with the B Reef mined as a high-grade secondary reef. Ore mined is processed at the Harmony One plant.
