Kusasalethu is a mature, deep-level mine near the Gauteng-North West provincial border. Mine infrastructure comprises twin vertical and twin sub-vertical shaft systems. The mine exploits the Ventersdorp Contact Reef as the primary orebody with ore mined being treated at the Mponeng gold plant.
